Africa in Motion 2009 featured 60 films from 22 African countries; shorts, documentaries and features, old and new, with over 20 UK premieres. The festival opened with the UK premiere of the acclaimed South African feature film My Secret Sky. During our opening weekend we screened films linked to our theme of Conflict, Trauma and Reconciliation in a pan-African context, all accompanied by discussions led by experts in the fields of trauma and reconciliation.
